Organic cotton is the ideal fabric for a baby’s sensitive skin as it is fine, soft and strong. It is also grown and processed without the use of harmful chemicals leaving no nasties on your baby’s clothes. Conventionally grown cotton is one of the most destructive crops grown in the world today, whereas organic cotton farming promotes clean air, water and soil. Organic Cotton doesn’t endanger wildlife or human health.

It guarantees the organic status of a product, from yarn to finished garment and that no hazardous chemicals are used in the making of your baby’s clothing, whilst outlining strict social and environmental criteria.
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification ensures that this garment is completely organic from seed to the final garment and meets the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility.
Grown and processed in India, crops are free from genetically modified seeds and promote clean air, water, and soil. The entire supply chain follows GOTS standards (CU 862149), and no harmful chemicals.

Our organic cotton is grown by farmers who saw the damage that conventional cotton farming methods were causing their land and community, so they chose to return to traditional methods of organic farming.

Before our range was produced we visited India and observed all stages of production, we still do this today, from the small villages that grow the cotton, through to the production that makes our clothes.

We saw first-hand that conventional farms weren't empowered to become self sustaining. In contrast, this organic village was flourishing and had become self sufficient in food, energy and education.

how to care for organic cotton?
Thoughtfully care for your Nature Baby pieces with eco-friendly detergents and follow individual care labels. Our natural fibres are inherently fire resistant without chemical treatments. Keep all garments away from open flame.
How to care for your organic cotton fabrics:
- Machine wash in cold or warm water with environmentally friendly laundry detergent or our Laundry Bar & Stain Remover Soap.
- Line or tumble dry on low.
- Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
