Christmas with Olivia Buchli

Every family has their own way of celebrating the festive season; quiet mornings, shared meals, laughter, and love. This season, we’re celebrating the small traditions that make the holidays so special, told through the eyes of our Nature Baby community. Here's Christmas told by @oliviabuchli x

01. Do you have any special traditions you look forward to every Christmas?
It’s so simple, but I love wrapping my girls Christmas presents. Every year I love the little moment I make for myself when they’re asleep. I sit at the table and think about each of them, what they love and what I love about them as I wrap their gifts.

02. Are there any traditions you’ve carried on from your own childhood?
Opening a family gift on Christmas Eve

03. What’s your favourite memory of Christmas with your children so far?
I think last Christmas was very special for us. I was very heavily pregnant with our third daughter and had her a few days after Christmas, but already having a deep sense of nostalgia and being so ready to head into our next chapter of three children. But I’m also just so looking forward to this Christmas as they’re all just a little bit older now and really get excited in the lead up and I feel like we can start really embracing traditions.

04. How do you create a sense of warmth, love, and togetherness during the holidays?
Baking, putting on pyjamas and reading together in the evening, and talking about things we’re grateful and hopeful for— and of course because it’s summer, slow afternoons by the ocean.
